The WELL Building Standard is a performance-based system for measuring and certifying features of the built environment that impact human health and well-being, through air, water, nourishment, light, fitness, comfort and mind, and is grounded in scientific and medical research that explores the connections between the buildings and its occupants.

Austin Animal Center Kennel Addition achieves LEED Silver Certification
We are pleased to announce that the Austin Animal Center Kennel Addition project has achieved a LEED Silver certification! Amongst other sustainable design attributes, the project is expected to save over 30% on water usage and reduce its annual energy usage by 20%. Thank you to the City of Austin for their ongoing commitment to green building design and to the design and construction teams for all their help throughout the certification process.
OLA Joins the West Austin Studio Tour With 300 Local Creative Studios
In-house curator, Hattie Lindsley will feature her own artwork at OLA for the coming West Austin Studio Tour, an art walk organized by Big Medium. For a glimpse of all participating artists, visit the Central Austin Public Library. Hattie's artwork will be on view through September.

Fireclay tiles are handmade from recycled materials in California. During our office renovation last summer we were able to incorporate a pop of color.

Jonas Criscoe at OLA Gallery
Austin native, Jonas Criscoe joins the clan of local artists featured at OLA. With simultaneous installations at ICOSA Collective and with Print Austin, Criscoe is an active member in the Austin art community. His prints and mixed media works are on sale through April 22.
4009 Marathon is under construction!
Construction is underway for a 3 story concrete office building with over 25,000 square feet of office space, a rooftop deck with water features and rainwater collection, two floors of parking, and all associated site improvements.

We welcome you to our new office for light refreshments this Friday, October 27th. Our doors will be open all day. OLA Gallery is also debuting new works by Paul Meyer. Meyer is a Houston-based artist who works with cement, mortar, burlap, and other recycled materials. OLA Gallery opens! Sarah Frankie Linder on exhibit through October 23rd
Our new office will also serve as a gallery. For our first opening we collaborated with Modern Rocks Gallery to feature the work of Sarah Frankie Linder. Her abstract works are atmospheric interpretations of live music performances from Austin's most beloved venues.

Domain Northside Earns 9 Austin Green Energy Building Ratings
The upward trend of local, sustainable and people-focused design and construction is one that Domain Northside and Austin are leading. OLA is proud to be part of this process and we are always looking at how we can go one step further in advancing our community and city. Domain Northside is a sterling example of what teamwork and shared vision can achieve.
Project Managers from OLA, Austin Energy Green Building, Endeavor, Nelson Architects, and Austin Energy hosted a tour highlighting the sustainable features of the newly opened Domain Northside.
The Domain Northside is a mixed-use development that is a celebration of Austin culture. It consists of a combined 600,000 square feet of retail, office, hotel, and residential components. OLA collaborated to establish energy saving units, reduced water usage, tenant recycling, construction waste management, and locally sourced materials.
The City of Austin officially recognizes OLA as an Austin Green Business Leader .
