SUSTAINABILITY CERTIFICATION PROJECTS
BUILDING ENERGY ANALYSIS
OLA has a dedicated building energy analysis team and offers the following services:
- Energy Modeling (LEED/AEGB/Design guidance/3rd party reviews)
- Daylighting Design and Modeling, and
- Solar (Photovoltaics & thermal) Feasibility Analysis
Energy modeling is a goal-driven, systematic process. It involves putting together a computer-based three-dimensional model of a building project, with the intention of comparing different design options to help optimize the most energy-efficient solution. If undertaken right from the schematic phase of a design project, this can offer significant energy and cost saving benefits, besides capitalizing on the associated green building certification (LEED/AEGB) energy points.
Optimum daylighting design, while saving energy, can help inform building aesthetics leading to healthier, more productive workspaces and learning environments.
Use of solar energy (photovoltaics and/or solar thermal hot water collectors) can offset energy costs and create an educational resource for building occupants and visitors alike.
